Biffa bags quote
Users were dropping off at a high rate upon reaching the quote section of the e-commerce page, indicating a significant abandonment issue. This suggested friction or unmet expectations during a critical step in the user journey, negatively impacting conversion rates.
Discovery
I looked into other brands where they show an upfront cost and saw similar pattern where they had clear labelling and always showed the upfront cost before getting to the checkout as a way to show client that this is the best way to go about it.
Journey review
I did a review of the current journey and highlighted where things could change where the price would be able to show up. Reviewing the current quote page it seemed that signposting was very confusing to users.
Designs
Designs consisted of a pricing shown and when the prices are not shown before the final stage as client was always cautious of showing the price before but it’s always good to show client the way users would prefer.
We also put in some clearer signposting about when payments will be taken as it was confusing.
